Halal Diets

Orthodox Muslims follow Halal (or Halaal) dietary rules:

Most types of Islam consider Kosher to be a branch of Halal and allow their followers to consume Kosher foods (which are often more widely available in American markets).

If you are caring for a Muslim who follows Halal rules, it pays to learn how strict they are about following Halal, and also factor in their individual food preferences.
