Food Restrictions, Limitations and Allergies

Corn Allergy   Previous - Next

Corn reactions.

The United States produces more corn than any other country. Corn is the country’s largest food crop. In American food, especially processed food, corn is everywhere.

For years, little attention was paid to corn allergy, but it is gaining increasing attention in the medical and health world.

Corn allergy is thought to cause asthmatic reactions, hives and skin rash, headaches, nasal congestion and sneezing, stomach and intestinal pains, and in extreme cases, life-threatening anaphylactic reactions.
